After countless hours the Snookie Vent Modified has taken its place in the Culver Auto Racing Museum. built in 1980 by Snookie Vent and Dave Jones under the name Race Car Enterprises this was one of the first ground breaking designs following the Gremlin Body years. Many thanks go out to everyone who helped on this project. This car was a junk frame sitting behind a building when it was saved by Scott Hulmes. I bought the chassis from him and contacted Don and Linda Allen to acquire some photos of the car in action at Georgetown Speedway in 1980. Many parts were sourced by Ken Covey, Louis O'Neal, Tony Pietrofitta just to name a few. Snookie's grandson, Eric Vent, did all the fab work on the body and most of the paint. Tim Boykin of Jim Signs did the hand lettering which completed the multi year project. It was an honor to preserve this unique Modified for all to appreciate and enjoy.
