Bandit Chassis saved and on the way to restoration!
A 1987 Bandit Chassis was saved today by a great group of people. A special thanks goes out to Robert Daisy and his crew for all their help. Stored for years this chassis was the give away chassis for winning the 1987 Modified Championship at Bridgeport Speedway. When the #3 Banks owned Modified driven by Bobby Wilkins won the Championship the car stayed close to home. Built by Walt Breeding the car had many unique features and the design won Championships at both Bridgeport and US13 Speedways. The car will now go in line to be restored as the #3 driven by Wilkins. It was the wish of both the late Helen Banks and Walt Breeding to have the car restored and shown. It is an honor to carry out that wish for them and the finished product will be dedicated to their memory. Also a special thank you goes out to Gerald Townsend for the period crew shirt from the Mason-Dixon Racing team!
